About Lunar Loox
Lunar Loox designs and manufactures reproduction interior parts and gauge solutions for classic Datsun and Nissan vehicles. Everything is designed, prototyped, test-fitted and made in Southern California.
It started with a set of gauges that would not fit
In 2016 Nicholas Clark was a college student with an RB25DET-swapped 1971 Datsun 240Z and a new set of Speedhut gauges. There was no way to install them without cutting up the original gauge housings, and those do not come back.
So he drew an adapter, left the printer running overnight, and the gauges went in clean. He posted a photo of it in a Datsun Facebook group. Within hours people were asking for their own set.
Lunar Loox came out of that queue. Nicholas is a mechanical engineer, and he still designs, prototypes and manufactures every part in-house, which is why a change takes hours instead of months and why the person answering your question is the person who drew the part.
How the parts are made
Bolt-in, using the factory holes
Every part installs using the original mounting points. No cutting, no drilling, no fabrication.
Reversible
Your original parts come off intact and stay that way, so a future owner can put the car back to standard.
Test-fitted on real cars
Every design goes onto an actual vehicle and gets refined before it goes into production.
What we build with
Parts are injection molded, 3D printed or CNC machined, depending on what the part has to do. Molding suits production-ready pieces and printing suits custom and low-volume work. Both are chosen for strength, heat resistance, UV stability and precise fitment.
