Datsun 280ZX (1982-1983) Reproduction Steering Column Cover

The 280ZX column cover is two halves held together by plastic threads. That is why yours is broken.

The originals crack at the screw bosses, the halves stop lining up, and the seam opens into a gap you notice every time you sit down. Once those threads strip there is nothing to tighten against.

Ours are new, and we replaced the failure point outright. Metal threaded inserts secure the two halves together, so nothing is relying on fragile plastic any more.
